These shipments almost always travel enclosed. Liftgate loading avoids the approach angle of a ramp, soft straps avoid chain contact with suspension components, and fewer vehicles per trailer means less handling overall.
Low ground clearance, wide track, oversized wheels and non-standard tie-down points all affect equipment selection, so the more detail you provide at booking, the better the match.
Condition documentation
The Bill of Lading is your condition record. For a collector vehicle it is worth photographing the car thoroughly before loading and going over the inspection carefully with the driver at both ends, rather than signing quickly.
Check what your own policy covers as well; carriers carry cargo insurance, and knowing the coverage in place before the vehicle moves is simply good practice with a high-value car.
Seasonal timing in Southwest Florida
Collector-vehicle movement follows the season here: cars come south in the fall and head north in the spring, with additional demand around summer show season in the Midwest and Northeast. Enclosed capacity in those windows is limited, so early booking matters.
